Obituary Note — Thanks giving Note

Demise of Karavattamnagalam KM Yohannan (Junjappan)-age 69 brother of Dr. KM George:

Dear Friends all over the world,

Please be informed that my only brother who was 69 passed away to his heavenly abode on 4th March after a brief spell of illness. He died at the Kolenchery Medical College at noon on Friday 4tgh March. Our mother had died on 3rd March some 30 years ago.
His body was shifted to the residence by 3 pm and subsequently funeral arrangements were made to follow.

After arrival of the body, at residence till the final burial, some 3500 people paid homage to the departed business man and a progressive farmer in whom they have perceived a man of excellence in values.
Among the notable to visit the sorrowing family to console his wife and two daughters and the son included Mr Joy P Jacob, Secretary of Malankara Orthodox Medical College; Hon Minister Mr Anoop Jacob MLA; Ex MLA Mr MJ Jacob and a host of local church and political leaders and social workers.

Prof CM Matthew of the Kolenchery Christian Revival Fellowship came with his brother DR CM George as family friends to pay homage.

Many sent the condolence messages .They included Justice K Narayana Kurup, DR Abraham Elias. Prof Dr Abraham Ittiyacahan.; Rev Mathew Thomas from USA; Ms Sara Colman from Israel, Mr Johnson Mamlssery from Australia. Mr Thekkans  from Carrabin Islands,, Nirmala  College  Alumni  Association  President  and working  presidents;  Nirmala  college 1964-67  batch graduates;Tarbiyeath  HSS Teachers and  staff from Muvattupuzha;  Merchant  Associations  from Ooramana and  Muvattupuzha, local bank officials; Adelaide Orthodox Church and  Jacobite  Church reperenetaitves, Puthjuvelly  Orthodox  Church; Pulluvazhy  Catholic  Church Vicar and team, Cooperative  bank of  Ramamnagmanlam.

This list is very long and exhaustive. But a few are mentioned without any prejudice to others.

The funeral services were addressed and conducted by four Bishops by name HG Dr Thomas Athanasiuos; HG Joseph Gregorious of Cochin; HG Dr  Kuriakose Theophilose; HG Dr Mathews Saveruous,
Some 30 priests from Orthodox , Jacobite and Catholic churches came to pray with the grief stricken family. The Caption of the Salvation Army also paid homage on behalf of his church.
Condolence messages came from far and near places from India, USA, Europe, South Pacific, Africa and Israel.
Please know that we are indebted to them all and all the local organisers who came forward to help with the smooth conduct of the funeral services both at home and in the Church. The local church unit was very supportive too
A big thank you all and also the media for the wonderful support. And we are  highly indebted  to  you and  particularly  to the e nurses and doctors of the Neduchalil  hospital, Aztar  Medicity  Ernakulum  and MOCS Medical  College –Kolenchery and  Doctors like  Prof  Mathew, DR Anoop,  Prof   Ittiyacahn, Dr CK Eapen, DR  Eapen Punnose, Prof  Shall  Kakattil, Dr Neena  to mention a few great human beings  healing ministry  touch with  profound  human touch while dealing  with  my brother.

The head of Chaplaincy Dept and his team including Rev Jon Kuriakose need to be mentioned.

Hospital  Secretary Mr  Joy P Jacob and  vice president  Rev  Abraham Poovathumootil went out of  their  way to make us fully comfortable during our  hour of  crisis—a big  salute to  you both!!!
